This came out looking cool. I'm glad my friend took the pic. This is from a short film I made up in Burney near Redding. The snow was like ice... now I think I know why I'm sick right now.... arg!!!

Thanks a lot! Yeah found out not to long ago it's like some dort of other countries helmet....forgot what it was, but I think if anything it's a very early WWII helmet. The German's shortened the top and the bill of the helmet to make it a little lighter. They kept the lugs on the side until they came out with the new ones that we all know and love. haha! I think it was that period between WWI and WWII that this helmet was used....not sure though. But also at the time I didn't know any better, and it was fairly cheap too.

Ah makes sense now. If you put together a Volksturm impression together that helmet would work great, since they armed Volksturms units with a lot of old WW1 weapons and helmets. Either way man, again, great job though on putting the stuff together!
